Our Charity Partner: Clic Sargent - Stop Cancer Destroying Young Lives

This year at Gemini People we have chosen Clic Sargent as our Charity partner. This fantastic charity supports young people who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families through what is undoubtedly one of the toughest times in any persons life. As a company we are putting our efforts together to try and raise as much money as we possibly can for this brilliant cause. Clic Sargent offers financial support, day-to-day care, places for families to stay as well as many other invaluable services to patients and their families. Cancer is something that will affect everyone in some way in his or her lifetime; together we can do as much as we can to help those suffering.

You can find out more information about Clic Sargent on their website and find out about some of the ways that you can help support their fantastic work.

What have we been doing?

Throughout the year we have been holding events such as our wine tasting evening, the Big Gemini Quiz Night, our World Cancer Day Cake Sale and we even have a karaoke night in the pipeline. We love being able to get together and having some fun as a team and of course, most importantly, raising money for this wonderful cause.

For our biggest fundraising event for this year we are putting down our phones, getting out of the office, putting on our trainers and heading to the park to get muddy. We are taking part in the 5Km obstacle course, Tough Mudder in Finsbury Park. We are an extremely competitive bunch and on Friday 12th April after work we will be breaking up into teams and battling it out.

As part of the Charity Team at Gemini I am always trying to find new ways for us to raise money for Clic Sargent. So, this weekend I took taking part in The Vitality Big Half in London, dusted off my running trainers and hoped to get myself around the half marathon track in one piece. If you were there you may have seen me pounding the streets of London, (hopefully not too out of breath) sporting a wonderful very 80’s neon pink Clic Sargent headband.

We work closely with the team over at Clic Sargent to get involved in as many ways as possible, here’s a small piece from them on why it’s so important that we help.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Gemini People and that they have chosen to support CLIC Sargent! Today, 12 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer and with the support of Gemini People we can continue to fight tirelessly to stop cancer destroying young lives and hopefully the team can have some great fun fundraising along the way!"

Everyone at Clic Sargent works tirelessly to make some of the hardest moments in someone’s life a little easier in anyway possible. With our fundraising and support we can help. You can raise awareness through sharing information about Clic Sargent and also contribute to this fantastic cause through our Just Giving page.
